DoMarkdown currently supports PDF, Word DOCX, Excel XLSX and XLS, PowerPoint PPTX, HTML, CSV, TXT, JSON, XML, and EPUB files.
How do I convert a PDF to Markdown?
Drag the PDF into the converter, or choose it from your device, then click Start conversion. When processing finishes, download the Markdown result individually or in a ZIP package.
Can I convert a Word document to Markdown?
Yes. Upload a Word DOCX file and DoMarkdown will extract its readable content and structure into a downloadable Markdown file. The older DOC format is not currently supported.
Will Markdown preserve the exact original layout?
Not exactly. Markdown is designed for portable content rather than pixel-perfect page layout. Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, and other supported structures are retained when the source document exposes them clearly.
Can I convert Markdown back to PDF or Word?
Yes. Use the Markdown to PDF or Markdown to Word tools to preview your content and export it as a PDF or editable DOCX file. You can also export HTML and plain text.
What are the file and batch limits?
Each source file can be up to 20 MB. Guest and Free users can add up to 3 files at once, while Pro users can add up to 30. Result links are temporary, so download completed files promptly.
